Maybe I'll get to meet one of these 'new creatures' at the lake this weekend...
I'd check swampy areas. I always suspected that these sorts of people just kinda crawled up out of the slime

This ain't quite a church marquee sign, but my brother has a picture of himself standing next to a sign that's right off the interstate (I-65, I believe) somewhere in Alabama. It has a little red devil with a pitchfork painted on it, and it simply says:

"Go to Church or the Devil will Get You!!".

Wee HAW!!!
Folk in Hazard County hadn't seen a good ol' fashioned Devil Gettin' in some time.

I found this one on the N. Texas Church of Freethought website. I've often wished that more churches were this honest...

Seriously, are they that stupid? I'm really surprised to see that on a church marquee.

Gambit, someone in this very town drives a replica of the General Lee proudly and loudly every day.
And Jobar, that is TRULY priceless!! I agree with what others have said, too bad all churches aren't that honest! Although I seriously doubt they realize how stupid that sign makes them look.

Some fundies are downright proud of their anti-logic, anti-science, anti-anything-having-to-do-with-reason attitude. It's pride in their ingorance that causes them to put up a sign like that.

It reminds me of Jeff Foxworthy's idea that stupid people should have to sport a sign to warn others. At least in this case, they're nice enough to provide their own sign.

Here's an ignorant one from that site:

"Knowledge puffs you up-- Love lifts you up."
