Well, Gemma, I don't think there is any God, actually. And if there was one, he'd be due for a swift boot in the tookus.

However, the good and peaceful life part is not coming along too badly today. I have a very nice little dinner in the works.

I just won't say Grace over it.

If God is all-knowing and all-good, why does he need you to ask him to do what he should be doing anyway? How many righteous persons does it take to convince God to do the right thing?

You must either be smarter or more compassionate than God. Which is it?

Gemma,

Thanks for letting me know I had no idea. I'll get out of your prayers immediately!

That's not Gemma Therese; that's Elizabeth, Hyacinth Bucket's long-suffering neighbor on Keeping Up Appearances.

Broken any china lately, Gemma?

No, that's Josephine Tewson, acclaimed British stage actor and director.

That's nice. To quote the philosopher you most remind me of, "my cat's breath smells like cat food."

In other words--and you've given me no reason not to believe I must explain this out to you--your reply does not even begin to address my comment to you.

Next summer, however, I am going to make a pilgramage to France to see...the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal (in Paris).
As for me, I'm planning a pilgrimage to see the Wee Church of the Gross Assumption.

You might want to pray for something else, because if He keeps revealing Himself the way he has been, all His priests are going to end up in jail. What then?

<I'm sorry Gemma--I'm usually not at all abusive. But you invite it so irresistibly...and I've been in a MOOD all day long!>

Splat --

Don't worry about it. I been through hell in life, you really can't say something someone hasn't said before.
