Wow, I never thought that many people here would like Baldurs Gate!

Imoen wil also develop Bhaalspawn powers at random throughout ToB. It's a cool game. BTW, I also feel bad about dumping characters. But I still managed to dump Jaheira twice. |

Walross: Thanks.
![]() BTW this thread is becoming spoiler-heavy so Vorkosigan beware. --- Minor Spoiler --- Less well known is that you can get Viconia to shift to TN from NE. You have to be in a romance with her and it's easier to miss this than the Sarevok change.... |

Kevin, Are you doing anything for NWN, had you done anything for IWD2? I'm liking NWN a ton, but I was never really grabbed with IWD2 (although I liked IWD). |

NWN is one of those things I never get around to buying and installing because I keep getting distracted by BG2 leftovers. But it's an eventuality. Plus I had Morrowind to keep me busy in the interim and I never ever finished the Tribunal expansion I paid for... another To Do when I get a long weekend.
IWD? Bleah. Didn't like it much. Only Infinity game I ever bought, installed, played once, uninstalled, and never looked at again. Hack'n'slash... Yeah, BG2 was sometimes but it had the saga that tied the four parts together no matter how far off-course the protagonist got, and it just "worked" for me whereas IWD didn't. I didn't buy IWD2 given that I didn't really enjoy the first one. But I did absolutely adore PlaneScape:Torment. I only finished it twice (and both times TNO shifts to LG about 10 mins. after leaving the mortuary and never varies for the rest of the game.) I was rather disappointed that a lot of the best elements of PS:T didn't come out in the mechanics of the later BG series, but it will have to stand as a unique achievement that will forever leave me wanting more, and knowing nothing could never live up to the original. |
