Cool Hmmmmm.... only 10?

1) I love strawberries, but hate things that are "strawberry-flavored".

2) While in high School, I quit Boy Scouts to join the Civil Air Patrol and became a lieutenant before finally quitting that...

3) My favorite music is from the mediaeval through baroque periods and I listen to it almost exclusively. I also enjoy twentieth century and avant-garde "classical" music and hip hop (go figure!).

4) I have never broken any bones.

5) I am a published composer of choral music (well, a couple pieces, anyway!).

6) I am addicted to "Queer as Folk".

7) I am an art and foreign film buff, especially B&W silent and Japanese "auteur" and "samurai" films (subtitles, please!).

8) Ich kann also ein bichen Deutsch, y Espaol, et Franaise, ed Italiano.

9) I have a pet poodle.

10) I am a wonderful cook.

And a bonus: 11) I love to travel, but hate being a tourist.

Regards,

1. I had one cat for 21 years. She looked like Audrey Hepburn would've looked had she been a blue-point Siamese. Now I have a dog, a brindle pit-bull mix with a pointy snout and mule ears. It took some time, but I've trained her to be an excellent lap-doggy.

2. Very few people can place my accent.

3. I'm pretty sure that I would have friends if I answered my email & returned (or even made) phone calls & stopped hiding (but I'm not certain). I did have friends at one time and some of them still remember me.

4. I worked in a fish-factory on the Kenai Pennensula for five weeks the summer before I married. My hands swelled up so much they didn't look like hands, they looked like glove balloons. Many years passed before my left hand regained its strength.

5. I have never yet seen a falling star or a bluebird.

6. I am confounded by people who argue with no regard for accuracy or truth. I am also amazed at folks who drive without regard to the lines on the road. Are these items related?

7. I have been mostly unsuccessful at growing mushrooms although I occasionally find stray morels far from the original bed. When I do find one, I eat it myself and don't share with my husband, heh, heh, heh.

8. My feet are larger than my husband's, but he has bigger hands.

9. I'm a lot older than I used to be and not nearly as cute. My walk is becoming increasingly peculiar.

10. I can touch the insides of my elbows together.

I'm left handed, which makes me different by default

I always wear sunglasses outside, but not a night

I like rainy days

I enjoy walking on the beach every chance I get

The best experiences have always been happenstance

Copper is my favorite metal

I don't want a funeral or a burial

I'm a messy creative

You could say I'm intense

A raging dessert sunset suits me just fine

1) I'm in my second year of degree in Theoretical Physics, but I no longer tell people this when I meet them because I get weird looks.

2) I joined IIDB while avoiding study the night before an Algebra exam, hence the username.

3) The exam went really well anyway and I'm now exempt from all end of year exams, which means that I have a six month summer break.

4) Because of 3 the most time I have spent sober in the last two and a half weeks is 8 hours. I spent alot of that reading on IIDB.

5) I can take any alcoholic drink (including vicious stuff like absinthe and poitin) except for whiskey, the mere smell of which causes me to retch.

6) I do not get hangovers. EVER!

7) Because of 3 and 6 most of my freinds hate my guts.

8) Over the course of these two and a half weeks, I am told that i have had 3 homosexual experiences. One of which was for money.

9) I am the only guy I know who is still a virgin at 19, but I am not ashamed of it. (I felt that this needed to be said after 8)

10) I am in love with a girl whose name I don't know and who I only see a couple of times a week. I am annoyed because I'm not usually too shy to go and talk to girls that I like.

###bonus###
11) I like the way I was able to tie 1 to 10 into a coherent whole.

Here goes:

1. I like, no, I am obsessed with cats. Cats the musical, cat trinkets, cat pictures, those wild scrawny street ferals, anything to do with felis domesticus.

2. I eat too much, sleep too much, love too much, think too much.

3. My only pet peeve consists of mean people. They are everywhere!

4. I am deeply afraid of the dark and the unknown. (What if something emerges from there?)

5. Yet I am drawn to ghost stories. Go figure.

6. I am in Americorps, National Civilian Community Corps. It's a sort of domestic version of the Peace Corps.

7. What's with all the spiders everywhere all of a sudden?

8. I make a damn good baker. Cookies anyone?

9. I am confused about my sexuality, personality, and spirituality. I am attracted to everyone and every idea!

10. Mr. Rogers is dead. Where do we go from here?

10) I've been on 3 different continents, and swam in 3 different oceans.

9) My favorite episode of the Simpsons is Lisa's Rival

8) I had shingles (yes shingles) when I was 12 years old.

7) I once had a first date where I made the girl laugh so hard she farted. I relieved her embarrassment with a compensatory fart. We only went on one date.

6) When I grow up I want a house with 2 woodburning fireplaces.

5) I literally ran naked across campus at the end of my last semester in college.

4) I believe that dogs are the best pets. I'm allergic to dogs.

3) I was conceived on New Years Eve.

2) My auto insurance company has paid more than double what I've paid them to insure my current car.

1) I see dead people.
