Question How hard can it be??

How hard can it really be to find bin Laden?

Let me rephrase that.

How hard can it really be to find a 7-foot-tall arab on a dialysis machine??

Can you just plug one of those suckers up to a standard electrical outlet? And even if so, HOW MANY OF THOSE do you find in Afghanistan??

It's not like he's gonna be plugging that sucker up in a cave somewhere!

And someone explain to me how he's gonne run away from us. Does he have a buncha people carry him around in his machine, and a bunch more people carrying around the running generator it takes to power it? Most people on dialysis can't run very far or very fast, particularly when their next stopping point is in the middle of the desert!

I also love the comments by news people about "Even if we'd killed him in those caves, how would we know?" Well gee, maybe because he'll be the one who looks like an NBA player except with NO KIDNIES?

He's either already been gotten and the administration is simply using his specter to push their agenda, or the current administration is grossly incompetant and should be punted out of office immediately.

1) You're exaggerating his height a TAD: he's around 6 foot 4 which is smallish by NBA standards. And that's if he's alive or if he's dead and his corpse is intact.

2) You seem to think that every blown-up cave is excavated for possible remains. This is extremely unlikely: most of the Northern Alliance people don't much care about Bin Laden and the US has had modest numbers of CIA/special forces on the ground, most of those to DIRECT air strikes, not to look for a needle in a haystack in dozens-----or is it hundreds now?----of caves.

How's his "filter the poisons outta my blood" machine going to work in an unpowered cave, anyhow?

As you say, a generator. What's so hard about that? You don't even need that much power--a decent battery will do it. (They make a portable dialysis unit that you can walk around while using--no way to plug it in.) Such batteries and their charger are reasonably common--any ordinary car will serve.

As for whether he's dead in a cave somewhere--sometimes the bombs sealed the caves. How do you know who died?

My guess: He's alive and hiding in Pakistan.

I agree. I would have also put Saudi Arabia on that list, but with the recent bombing there the other day, if he were there, he wouldn't be there long.

Whereas there are powerful elements in Pakistan that are friendly to him.
