Question Anyone met this guy?

Last spring this uber-fundy visited my school (I attend college student in Philadelphia) and I wondered if anyone else has run into him. He calls himself Brother Stephen and seems like he'd be a candidate for Nutwatch Live III. He challenged me to provide him with bible quotes backing up my position (that his religion treats women as inferior) which I did via email and got (surprise) no response. Anyhow, wondering if I was the only person to run into this loon.

BROTHER STEPHEN!!! Ah, just about every college kid in philly know of brother Stephen. He was at my school last year for a bout a week demonstrating outside our caf. I spent about 6 hours arguing with him and group of scary cronies (only had one class that day). I have a ton of pictures from it...

go to the pictures section and click on "preacher". It was an entertaining day. That man is so animated, it's funny. He reminds me of Molly Shannon's character Mary Catherine Galahger from SNL. When he says "YOu will burn in heeeeellllll fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!" I swaer he might as well be saying "SUPERSTAR!"

Yep, that's him. Looks like you were even more bored than me that day seeing as you took pictures. As scary as his views are, he does make great street theatre, doesn't he?

There's a guy like that who comes to the campus of my university. I can't remember what he calls himself, Brother James comes to mind but that might be wrong. He has this whole "Steps to hell" thing that he babbles on and on about. Funny to listen to if you have the time. He has also called most of the females on campus sluts (especially the sorority gals) which got him kicked off campus for a while.

This image disturbs me. Who were those kids? And what's the story behind the little kid in the reddish sweatshirt? 'God Bless America' seems innocent enough, but I imagine it was not your standard 4th of July fare(He also seems angry in some pictures).

Unless I miss my guess, those would be a couple of Fred Phelps' grandkids, learning the family business. That might even be Fred himself standing in the background, though it's kind of hard to tell in that light. There's no mistaking those signs, though.

Yeah, that image is from Fred Phelps. My friend had used it for a webpage he made a while back, and he just threw that in with the pictures he took.

Of course it does. And it works really well to his advantage. Now that I know better, next time I see him, I'm just gonna ignore him.
