Is the picture that Al Jazeera broadcast of the supposedly executed US soldiers available to view anywhere? I'm being told by a relative that there was clear evidence of powder burns on the forheads, etc. (when they saw it on TV when it was originally broadcast) and I'd like to see what they are talking about.
Thanks. |

I know the photos are on display at the Al Jazeera site, but there were several hack attacks on it and i cannot raise it yet...
The photo you refer to is the one i used at a diferent forum, to try to show people that the execution theory was a bust. The body was badly burned and the face was covered in powder burns. There was a wound in the forehead, caused problably by shrapnell. You could see the bone, under the skin. If it was a bullit wound, there would have to be an exit wound. And there was none. Even the main wound did not penetrate the bone skull. It just lacered a bit of flesh off the forehead, leaving the bone visible. My guess is the guy was inside a vehicle, when it exploded or was hit by a RPG. The clothes were shreaded, showing some burned bits. He was dead even before he ever got out of the vehicle. Remember, these guys were ambushed while on a convoy of supply vehicles, mostly trucks and Hummvees with thin plated armor. There is no other photo where any head wounds are well visible, at least to my knowledge. The "execution theory" was based solelly on this one photo, and any one with some common sense would see it for what it was: a battle wound, not an execution. This execution theory was spreaded out to demonize the iraqi armed forces and to leave the impression that the only Law abbiding forces on the field were the USs... Trully pittyfull, actually. Especcially when we look at the checkpoint incidents and the market bombings. Not to mention those iraqi soldiers decapitaded when holding a white flag! ![]() |
