As in...I was wondering *how* to post a poll....???

You can only post a poll when starting a new thread. If you are starting a new thread then if you scroll down under the "your reply" section you will find a check box to "post a poll". Once you submit that reply with the box checked you will be brought to a page where you can enter your question and the possible answers.

The F.A.Q button at the top of every page will also help you out.
