Bored of this joke now. It's a crutch lame comedians use when they run out of original material.

But you gotta love the Big Book of British Smiles that the dentist uses to scare Ralph into brushing his teeth.

Comic Book Guy is just like lots of geeks I've known! They are totally into sci-fi, comics, computers and never have a date. They never do anything that most females would be interested in and refuse to admit that they have emotions.

unlike the nerds with social skills, which generally consists of going up to a lady and saying "Hi, My name is ____. What's yours?"

Not too difficult, is it???

Its take on Americans is the best. Springfield is America!

You've got Joe Quimby, corrupt politician pro, and he is constantly in charge. They never replace him.

The Springfield'ers are ignorant, go along with anything people. Homer being the utmost of this example.

Its not that Americans are dumber, or even are prouder. All countries are really that way. Its the fact that we are the way we are and have nuclear weapons. That's the bad part.

Quebec having the bomb is a funny concept. But the best line of all time...

Lovejoy: "...christian, jew, and miscellanous."

Apu: "Hindu! There are over 800 million of us."

Lovejoy: "Oh, that's super."

I Realllly miss Phil Hartman's contribution to the Simpsons. Damn his wife!

It has been reported in several media sources that The Simpsons has the largest positive portrayal of religion in general and Christians in particular of any of the primetime network shows currently airing.

I've known a few Australians who didn't get the point of the episode (understandably though). Australia was just a stand-in for Singapore. The episode was written shortly after an American citizen was arrested in Singapore for grafiti and was sentenced to a "caning" -- that is, a beating with a bamboo cane, not too disimilar to the "booting" that they had in the episode. The sentence was denounced by human rights groups as being barbaric, but then again it was a case of defending an obnoxious American who despoiled another country. So the point was really to make fun of American obnoxiousness as well as Singapore's backwards criminal law. I guess they used Australia because it it's ripe for the picking.

It's ironic, really - when I was a kid, the local comic book store was owned by a guy considered by most to be pretty cool ... and who was married to a lingerie model No joke.

The Canadian episode was rotten, I remember. Not because of negative stereotypes - the writing was just horrible in general. Worst. Episode. Ever.

No, wait, the worst was the one about the spinoffs ...
