Well not you.
But, I've been thinking about creative genius lately. Can you name any creative geniuses(someone who contributes to the arts) that are not chemical abusers of one sort or another, or insane in one way or another? I think an interesting subset of this is name a creative genius who is neither on dope, nor insane, and had an average, nontraumatic childhood. I can't think of one. |

I think we need proof of your genius though. Oh, and please urinate in the bottle hooked up to the analyzer over there.

you can't prove genius, and i had some poppyseed muffins today.
seriously though, what constitutes a normal childhood, and does alcohol count as dope? |

Do you have a "problem" with alcohol? Is your creativity enhanced or altered by alcohol?
By normal childhood I mean all the shit we all went through is pretty normal. (a little abuse, a little teasing, a little heart break, a little depression, a little unfairness, etc.) But being chained to a toilet as punishment, forced to wear a dress to school(if you are a male) as punishment, or anything that would be considered "over the top parenting" by a reasonable selection of people constitutes an abnormal childhood. And a "genius who contributes to the arts" should be someone known by people on several continents and whose work endures. Mozart, Schumann, Glen Gould, Rembrandt, Picasso, Da Vinci, Gallileo. I'm talking about the folks at this level. |

How about Richard Feynman.
He had a fairly normal American Jewish upbringing. Was very social. Good sense of humor. Gave great lectures. Even had good artistic skills. Helped solve the Challenger disaster mystery. Would drink alcohol, but not an alcoholic or drug user. Won a Nobel Prize. Arguably the smartest physicist. |

George Washington had terrible spelling. Being anal about the rules of language seems less important than the ability to communicate and be understood. I had no doubt about Kwigibo's meaning.
