I bet Donahue was waiting the whole show to use this little gem:

DONAHUE: I love you all equally, but we can’t hear you if you-I’m reminded as I watch you, gentlemen, of what Jesus said at the Last Supper.

MOHLER: Oh, come on, Phil!

DONAHUE: He said, If you guys want to get in the picture, you better get on this side of the table.

That gave me a little chuckle.

Why, yes. Yes, I can.

Okay, I'm a stupid dip since I don't quite know what station Donahue is generally on.

Thanks for the guy who posted the transcript URL. I can never get those download files to work (yet) but that's good too. I've been itching to see some of these choice shows people have been talking about since I read that essay Donahue wrote entitled "Keep religion out of the Pledge of Allegience". Might have picked it up here at II. I printed it so I could tape it to my art table for the perusal of all my family and visitors. I'd pin it up in my cubical at work if I HAD a cubical at work.

Anyway, is it channel 3 or 5 Donahue is usually on? Or is it cable now--so many of the good things are going to cable these days. I need cable. *sniff*

Plus, I wanted to register my joy at finding that transcript URL here. You guys are so great! I've learned so much I can use just in this forum and RRP. (don't have much time for much else, usually, but even that's enough to argue with!)

I think Donahue is on MSNBC. Sometime in the evening.

I just read the entire transcript. The show was definitely staged--a put on. Perfectly suited for idiots who believe the show is real. Very retarded. The show has no substance of any kind.

What do you mean? Staged like pro-wrestling staged?

Staged? That seems really far fetched. If you watch the clips, you can see the emotion AND Donahue's face get RED when he calles them biggots.

How can anyone STAGE such an emotional topic?????

Lots of talk-show hosts get paid big for their efforts. O'Reilly is a convincing smirking holier-than-thou. Hannity is a convincing raving lunatic. Does that make them all fakes?

They've got MSNBC all over, but I never hear the channel number. Ever. Maybe I'm jsut not lucky, maybe the channel number varies from place to place, or maybe they just don't like saying the channel because the numbers sound so much cooler.

Anyway, what channel do you get it on where you're at?
