My bro, a Bahai, told me that God uses progressive revelation - that in the days of Moses, mankind was intellectually inferior and could only understand pain and force.
Only later, could he reach mankind through the love of Jesus Christ and Bahaullah. Whan you guys hear anything rational from any religion, let me know. |

I am of the (mostly heretical) opinion that God tried everything else- kindness, harshness, physical healing, working miracles of deliverance, commandments written by himself, warnings of prophets, allowing rebellion and evil to flourish, and finally, that he might save as many as possible, justification by faith alone. 'Tis not so easy being God as we imagine.
I do not believe God is omniscient of every possibility, and we can even find him "repenting" and changing his mind. We find he himself surprised at how evil the world had become. Some people think this makes him lessGod, but to me it is just more evidence of his own humility, sincerety in saving us and mercy. Rad |
