I think "cristians" might be the equivalent of "athiests".

"Gunnaheave, good point, but that was painful to try to get through. Ya think ya might try just a little bit harder to be understood? "

Badfish,

The more Christians learn about atheists, the better. I believe the misconception of Christians and atheists as opposites (or worse, enemies) won't go away unless start a dialogue between the two communities.

I know there is much I'd like to learn about Christians and the way they think, but I haven't had much success communicating on their terms, so to speak. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Well it was an interesting read, but...

(for those who don't speak the utmost annoying language: "That's almost as incomprehensible as 1337!")

Why are atheists always portrayed as being anti-Christian? They don't believe in any God(s); atheism is not limited to Christianity.

I am not anti-xian. But I am anti-xianity, anti-islam, anti-Norse mythology, anti-Greek mythology, anti-Aztec mythology, etc. I think it's time human beings grew up and left this relic of their primitive past behind.

From the point of view of a christian, there's The Truth (their side) and Evil Lies (everyone else).

The problem is only that we don't believe in their god, not that we don't believe in any god. If we all converted to Hinduisim tomorrow, we'ld still be unsaved anti christian sinners.
