Anyone else like to play mind-games with mall personnel?
One of my favorite things to do is to go in all prepped-up, dress-wise. Khakis, tucked in button down shirt, combed hair, tie, whole thing. Then I walk into Hot Topic and start asking to try on PVC stuff. And count the funny looks people give me. If I find something in there I like alot, and buy it, I'll change into it there, wear it out of the store, and walk into The Gap to pretty much repeat the process in reverse. Big guy in a PVC biker outfit walking into the Gap and asking to try on khakis and knit sweaters gets even more crack-me-up funny looks. The best ever was in the PVC biker outfit walking into the "Bible Family Christian Store" and asking if they had the new "Daily Devotionals for Hell's Angels" book. Anyway, I've actually tried to make it into a game with formal rules. Think it'd work? *** The goal of this game is to get as many weird looks as possible without doing anything to get thrown out (being taken away in an ambulance counts). Rules: One player goes at a time. Rock-Paper-Scissors determines who goes first. Inside voices must be used at all times, except when calling out to friends. No illegal activities. No drinking for at least 1 hour before starting, and no drinking during the game. Each player must have an observer to count "looks". The observer must endevour to NOT appear to be in any way related to the player, and cannot be used by the contestant in any scheme. Ideally, the observer should not be a player who's waiting his turn. Mall customers cannot be addressed directly. Employees are fair game. Each funny facial expression (as judged by the observer) is 1 point. A double-take is 2 points. Open-mouthed stare is 3 points. A funny look followed by a double-take and an open-mouthed stare is a full 6 points. Time limits must be set firmly in advance. 5, 10,or 15 minutes are good limits. Instead of a time limit, the limit could be a specific number of stores visited. If at any point a contestant is asked to leave a store, all points obtained in that store are revoked. If asked to leave the mall, contestant loses. |

I demand extra points for making customers forget that they're holding things, and proceeding to drop them.
