Dear Amie ((((( Amie)))),

Way to go! Bravo! I recieved the same unequaly yoked speech from my christian friends and I did marry the noble and good man my agnostic hubby is. You are definitly not alone. Always remember that God knows your heart as noone else does and that gives Him the priviledge to be the only one to apply Grace.

Love. Veronique.
PS : good posts by the way.
Hi Sabine
been out of town and just got back to this thread. Thank you so much. I know you've been there and its not such a good feeling to get that speech but such is life and ultimately we are all responsible for ourselves. I agree dearheart only God knows my heart. Thanks for the post

I agree 100 percent. I'm a thiest and I teach a sunday school class full of teenagers. Kyle is probably my favourite student and he's been treated like crap by several fundy chicks, which I can't understand in the least. He's an absolute gentleman, thoughful, good looking, good grades, nice job, nice car...

Well, right now he's dating a non-thiest named Linda who is about the nicest 16-17 year old girl you'd ever want to meet and I'm really happy for them. Checkmate had a question in sec lifestyle and support about weather a non-theist and a thiest could make it.

I'm reversing what I said here earlier. Not only do I think that they can make it...I think thiest-non thiest relationships can be a good thing.
Hi Bubba
sorry to hear Kyle is not treated as he should be. I missed that thread by checkmate I would have liked to post
I always have your support you are such a good friend Chris. Thanks!

Hi Gemma thats a great link!

Hi Godless Dave what does not make sense? I'll see if I can try to help with it but as Gemma said it is straight from the horses mouth.

What does contracepion have to do with respect? And where does this "respected and beloved companion" comes from?
In my opinion nothing. However it may seen that contraception somehow hinders the bond between the man and the woman and in doing so the man may lose respect for her. It is certainly not a point of view I share but a position maintained by some...

Question

Well, maybe a woman would lose respect for a guy wearing strawberry flavoured glow in the dark rubbers...
...who knows.

Now that is almost as stupid as the victorian arguments that the uterus needed to be bathed with soothing "male emissions" to prevent hysteria.

I find it interesting that they consider contraception 'immoral' or 'the same as abortion' when the intention is to avoid pregnancy, and yet they approve of the 'rhythm' method to avoid falling pregnant. Strange.

On a related note, isn't sperm wasted because only one can reach the egg? And if a woman does not fall pregnant, does she commit murder because an egg is going to waste?

He is getting old and weak.
Consider: In his youth he created the world, then he managed to flood the whole world. Later he had to limit himself to individual cities and smaller acts of genocide, then, as the advanced age set in, he limited himself to messing with individual people like Job and Mary.

In the Middle Ages he still did some isolated miracles when he had a good day but lately he just seems to take it easy.

Maybe his real name is "Odin" and he spends time mostly sleeping and caring about linen in a private hospital in England.

I hope this was not too inapropriate here
