Default So yeah, um, hi, and stuff.

I'm not used to doing introduction threads since they're usually frowned upon . . . But anyway.

Hellos all around. Since this is a mainly atheism-based message board, some words in that direction might be in order:

I'm 16, Swiss, and have been an ardent atheist for a few months now. Before that, I was floating in a state of incredible ignorance, hardly having a single idea about religions and the ongoing wars between them. Sometimes I wish I still were doing so . . .
My parents (both atheists, but one a former Christian [He asked too many questions]) brought me up without pointing me towards atheism or any particular religion, something that I'm immensely grateful for. When I first encountered Christian belief, I asked too many questions as well and slipped quite naturally into the role of the Filthy Amoral Heretic(). This encounter was with a Christian running around the city evangelising his religion and assuring me that I'd get a wonderful fuzzy feeling in my tummy if only I renounced half of what I'd learned in Biology.

So now I'm roaming the internet in an attempt to lessen my ignorance just a tiny bit so I won't look like a complete idiot anymore when confronted with creationist arguments. To my surprise, I found this pocket of atheists discussing topics in many long words that I can barely understand, so I naturally signed up immediately, determined to make a fool of myself as soon and efficiently as possible.

Hi there Taffer, glad you could join us!

I'm sure you will be interested in the Infidels library, as well as the Evolution/creation forum. We don't get too many contributors from Switzerland, so your appearance here is very welcome.

Hi taffer.

I am also new. I couldn't be bothered to start a new thread, so I thought I'd kinda hijack yours (sorry).

I'm Huggin's brother, who for some complete mystery has become a moderator (must have been the only applicant. ).
