You're confusing the terms rareness, unlikely, and genuine.

If something is rare, then by definition, finding it is unlikely. That's simply what the word means. And that has nothing to do with whether the item is genuine, or is fraudulent.

I think what you intended to say is that something which is rare does not necessary mean that it is a fake. There are rare things which, when they do pop up, are almost always genuine. Perhaps hapax legomena falls into that category.

What I don't understand is how you are tying that into the issue of the ossuary.

The aramaic wording as Steven mentioned, "achui d' ". It is rare, but that does not mean that it was not used in such a situation. It was rare that brothers names would be included on ossuaries. However, it seems significant that the other ossuary(s?) that we know of that mention a brother have "achui d' " as well.

IMHO, whether the writing that was used is rare or otherwise cannot be used to support/deny authenticity.
If its rare but not anachronistic, then rare is as good as common.
