I haven't changed my tune on a damned thing. If they converted of their own free will, what's the problem? |

Think you can find it in your cold, cold heart to argue with something I actually SAID?
Well I guess not since you can't decide if you support this cult that is subverting Judaism or are opposed to subverting Judaism. You seem to only want to take an opposing view of whatever question is asked even when the questions themselves are about opposing views. You seem to be against everything. For someone who brags of being "locked and loaded" you are uniquely unprepared to discuss any topic. |

That's because all I know about this "cult" as regards its efforts to convert Jews is what I've heard from you.
Since it was the subject of the major news magazines--even making the cover of Time---and was a major segment on NPR your ignorance of the topic is not from it's obscurity. Pardon me if I am not sufficiently impressed with your display (or not) of intellectual honesty to find your representation of the Southern Baptists credible. I, on the other hand, am impressed that you can read what Magus has written and not recognize it as the Southern Baptist version of Christianity, when it bears no resemblance to the philosophy of any other Xian posting in GRD. It's almost as if you go out of your way not to know things that might disagree with your views. I have addressed the topic, of course. If you consider evasion a form of addressing a topic… That I have failed to do so in a way that lends itself to the propagation of your bigotry isn't my problem. Ahhh, I'm a bigot now am I? You do like name-calling. I suppose it's your only resort. But the problem with calling me a bigot on a board like this is two fold. First, we are on my turf. Most of the people here are non-theists just like me and what you are calling bigotry is merely lack of theism. Secondly, every last word I've written is still there. All one need do is scroll up to see if I'm a bigot or not. What they will find is you carrying on like a hormone engulfed adolescent. |

Does anyone on this forum believe that Jesus was not a Jew?
Does anyone on this forum believe that Jesus did not believe He was a Jew? And that He thought He was fulfilling Judaism? Does anyone on this forum disbelieve that a minor cult of Judaism did believe that Jesus was the Messiah in the 1st century? What is wrong with being a 1st century Jew belonging to a minor cult of Judaism? What is wrong with Magus saying he is a 1st century Jew? You all atheists are getting a little silly on this one. Magus is correct and Yguy is also correct. Legalism and nit picking gets a little stupid sometimes. Sometimes it seems like atheists are as bad as Fundies. Arguing about the trees when they should see the forest. |
