I know people like this in person, and take it from me that vanderzygen is currently off annoying some other poor sod with the exact same garbage, and will continue to do so until someone posts something with science in it, and then he will move on.

Yes, but do they really think they're going to persuade anybody? They're in hostile territory and arguing from a position of ignorance - not a hopeful combination really.

It just seems as if they have the underlying attitude of "let me put you poor sorry idiots straight because there's something you've obviously been missing." And yet they're talking to people who specialise in the sort work they're so busy trashing. Doesn't it ever ocur to them that when you're talking to people who know about a subject, it might be a good idea to learn a bit about it yourself?
