I have heard Zindler ridicule religious ideas and the Bible, but I haven't heard him ridicule individuals, as you have.

I am a card carrying member of AA, and I know the Alabama director is a Larry Darby. I've never met or seen him, but it would be my guess that he was the gentleman in question.

I saw the pictures on the Link and the sad thing is that having so few protesters hurts your case as it makes you look like such an insignificant portion of the population. I don't know. On the one hand, I too sometimes want to take to the streets. I understand that on an emotional level. Maybe with time we will identify other like minded thinkers in Alabama and throughout the nation. But I think there are probably better ways to do this then what Darby is doing. We need to take a page out of the Christian playbook and work to subtly instill reason and rationality into people. There are probably many closet "near" atheists (if you know what I mean) who may be willing to take further steps if properly brought into the debate. What Darby has done is drive them away. Nobody wants to be associated with that kind of vile hatred and utter incompetence.
