I did these in pencil on white paper. The first one was done at a time when I was beginning to look at Christianity in a different way. These may take a few minutes to download...
Hmmm. This isn't working. OK. Now I'm going to use the browse function instead of IMG. That seems to be within my power. |

They are both remarkable, Glass*Soul. I find the birch particularly breathtaking.

Wow. That birch is photorealistic. I had to blow it up in Photoshop to make out the pencil marks and make sure you weren't cheating us. ;
The other one is interesting, too. How long does it take you to do something like that? |

Thank you for your comments. I had a devil of a time getting them posted!
Those two both took about 40 hours each. I finished each one over three days. The tree was a case of being in the zone in a way I rarely achieve. The Crown of Thorns was much more emotional to do. I was in physical pain by the time I was done with it. My Christian friends tended to imagine I was reaching for the Crown. I was just beginning to suspect I was letting it go. |

<Sigh> I wish I had artistic talent... I tried drawing my grandma once for a mandatory drawing class. It looked like an ugly guy.
![]() Yours is very good. I like the tree, but I think you need to add something to it to make it look less like a photograph. It's just *too* good. |
