Default A pair of drawings...

I did these in pencil on white paper. The first one was done at a time when I was beginning to look at Christianity in a different way. These may take a few minutes to download...

Hmmm. This isn't working.

OK. Now I'm going to use the browse function instead of IMG. That seems to be within my power.

Thumbs up

They are both remarkable, Glass*Soul. I find the birch particularly breathtaking.

Wow. That birch is photorealistic. I had to blow it up in Photoshop to make out the pencil marks and make sure you weren't cheating us. ;

The other one is interesting, too. How long does it take you to do something like that?

Thank you for your comments. I had a devil of a time getting them posted!

Those two both took about 40 hours each. I finished each one over three days.

The tree was a case of being in the zone in a way I rarely achieve.

The Crown of Thorns was much more emotional to do. I was in physical pain by the time I was done with it. My Christian friends tended to imagine I was reaching for the Crown. I was just beginning to suspect I was letting it go.

I thought it was letting go as well, Glass*Soul. The tie that binds is so slender and that pretty little bow far too delicate to hold under even the slightest pressure.

If there had been any wounds on the palm, I would have thought it was the moment after release.

<Sigh> I wish I had artistic talent... I tried drawing my grandma once for a mandatory drawing class. It looked like an ugly guy.

Yours is very good. I like the tree, but I think you need to add something to it to make it look less like a photograph. It's just *too* good.
