Here's the link to the story about her diary, that was alledgedly burned by the devil.

"The pages from top to bottom were all smoked and in parts burned as if each one had been separately exposed over a strong fire, yet they were not so badly burned as to destroy the writing."

As skeptic as I may be, imagine trying to inflict such damage on a handwritten document, without the whole thing catching fire.

I am glad that Gemma got the book back since she probably worked hard on it. I did not like the first few sentences though on how she was "ordered" to write a diary...

I can see why Gemma holds her in such high esteem...

I am particularly fond of Padre Pio, St. Jude, St. Michael and St. Therese myself...

You would think Hellfire (tm) would have kicked more ass ~ it always does in those Stephen King movies.

I like Spiderman, Wolverine and the Incredible Hulk...as children of science, they're much more realistic.

I guess the overly sensitive theists and the atheist guy who follows one of them around the board because he thinks she`s hot can`t take a joke.

This is not my problem and I make no apologies. That Gemma woman looks crazy and WAS crazy and there are no such thing as angels and never will be be no matter how many angels Halmark puts on their cards, how many porcelain figurines Avon sells, how many touching angel movies they show on "Lifetime" or how sweet some here think the concept of invisible sky friends is.

Deal with it and move on.

Btw,
What I find "socially obnoxious" is that some people still take this Catholic suffering saint shit seriously.

As to the rest of us... We can each form our own opinions on whether the joke justified the tastelessness, and form opinions of the poster. Such is justice.
The only pity around here should be for you since you`re actually contemplating something as foolish as if this crazy dead woman might be conscious of what I said about her.

Form an opinion on that my friend!

On that photo page I liked that quilt she made along with other relics of hers.
I have her biography back at school, so I could look it up ... I know she had a brother who was in a minor seminary, but I believe he died young.

How? What is it about her that you think makes her "look crazy"?

There is nothing to deal with and there is nothing to move on from...its what some of us believe in. If you don't like it. Too bad. Live and let live.
