Ahem. Rationalism is the path of which I was speaking. That is the path that you believe to be the only Truth. You misunderstood.

This has to be a joke. Nothing good can come from believing in something that is untrue. If someone believed that they could fly, and then decided to jump off a bridge, would that be considered good? This is, essentially, what the religious theists are doing with all of humanity.
Slipperly slope. Try again.

This merely proves your own fear.

Oh give me a break! I’m just one person. You’re going to judge an entire philosophy because of the actions and emotions of one person? That’s a little prejudice, don’t you think?
Congratulations. Now, how is that different than your prejudice against christianity? Because you're judging based on a hundred people? A million? A billion? At what point is it ok to judge an entire philosophy?

Apparently you are as blinded by transhumanism as I am with Christianity.

No rational person could possible endorse IN FULL the views as described by the description of being transhumanist.

While reading the information I kept getting flashbacks of the six million dollar man, lol. He was a transhumanist for sure!

What I got from it all, it that transhumanist want to play GOD by using TECHNOLOGY to ENHANCE humans to BEYOND WHAT NATURE INTENDED.

This makes IMHO transhumanism potentially the most dangerous "philosophy" to ever exsist! Toying with God's creation or toying with natural evolution is definitely a NONO! We as humans do not have the discipline of mind (as a whole) to not use technology for advancement of the human race as a whole.

There will always be some a##hole who will try to monopolize and take over the earth or find some other reason (money) to use technology for selfish purposes.

IMHO transhumanists are more dangerous philisophically than any other radical religion.

Nature intended? Is nature a sentient entity with an intent and plan? Poppycock! Genetic enhancement is just another part of nature.

Well, your God hasn't seen fit to give us longer lives, provide food for everyone or eradicate disease so we just have to do it ourselves. We can finally take an active role in our own evolution. If mankind is going to outlive this planet, we need to get smarter and healthier.

Why is it that Christians typically have such low view of humanity? I guess it's that whole "fallen", "sinful" nature thing. If they spent a little more time encouraging people to be proud of their achievements and having a little dignity instead of chanting the "We're all worthless humans" mantra over and over again, they wouldn't live in such fear.
