Absolutely. You noted that the tautology of religion rests on the word "holy." Indeed, one of that word's definitions is "not open to criticism, correction or debate" -- not only does the flock-caller not get questioned by his followers, he does not question himself, his motives, or the consequences of his dogmatism (though he may well have a critical understanding of his methods).
