I'm on Zoloft, not Prozac... and I'm taking a dose much larger than the average 50 mg too (200 mg for me) and I agree with those who talk about prozac, it's basically a motivator. It's also a leveler when it comes to negative emotions. I'm still probably happy and unhappy the same amount of time I was before I was on Zoloft, but now, my lows are just nowhere near as low as they used to be (I was also suicidal) and my highs are just as high.
Unfortunately, I seem to be one of those people who is doomed to suffer from lifelong depression so I will probably be taking Zoloft for the rest of my days. Hopefully, thanks to Zoloft, there will be a lot of them left. |
