I am about to send in a housing loan application to a mortagage company and want a good website for unbiased info.
Also does having a 656 median score credit suck or is it ok? I have two credit cards that have more than half of their limit on the balance (I have 3 more with nothing on them), how much might the score go up if I lower the balance on them? Also I heard that there are two kinds of business licences; one that is cheap and doesn't do much and one that is more expensive and allows lots of write offs. Is this true? Hope this is helpful for lots of people, Robert |

My impression is that 656 isn't all that good. Very good is well into the 700's.
As for business licenses, I think you've got something confused. Business licenses don't allow write-offs, period. A business license is merely a permit from the government to engage in business. It covers the costs of inspections etc, as well as making money for the government with their habit of requiring business licenses for many professionals independant of the operation of a business per se. (ie, each professional in the office might need their own license as well as the office license.) |
