More distortions from Carr.

I said that this statement was a lie:

As usual, Layman refuses to give cites

I did not say that you lied about me not having given the citations to the Acts allusions or the Gospel of Truth. Your statement is obviously much broader than that. It implies that I "usual[ly]" "refuse" to "give cites."

The statement I put a 'smiley' on was a lie?

I'm not sure what relevance you think putting a smiling face has on the issue. If you are now claiming that it was just a joke and you did not mean it, I'll withdraw the accusation. Are you now claiming that it was just a joke and you did not mean it?

It was a humourous reference to the fact that you had not (and still have not) given cites to where 1 Clement alludes to Acts and where the Gospel of Truth makes an authoritative reference to Acts.

Hope you weren't insulted.

However, here is an allusions to Acts 10:41

2 Samuel 11:12
'At David's invitation, he *ate and drank with him*, and David made him drunk.'

How do your allusions compare?

If the Greek in the Septuegent was that similar to the Greek in Acts 10:41 I would think it likely that the author of Acts was influenced by 2 Samuel's wording.

Michael,

Peter K. was nice enough to post a revised version on his website:

<a href="http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/" target="_blank">http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/</a>

You can find it at:

<a href="http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/marcion.html" target="_blank">http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/marcion.html</a>

It is in the Online Resources for Marcion section, styled: Marcion, the Canon, the Law, and the Historical Jesus
