Sorry, that's patently NOT true. The anus does not retain excrement; the musculature works to expel it even in the absence of applied Charmin. If the anus DID retain excrement, nobody would end up with "skid marks" on their undies.

Demosthenes: They are. But that shit isn't coming from just touching the external glutes to your cotton undies. If that were the case, wiping would be a purely external measure. The anus works hard to expel all excremet in the passage, otherwise bacterial infection and serious blockage could result.
