yeah many not accounted for. How many nights did people spend Hoping their loved ones were ok... so very sad...

Yes, it was awfully tragic. Why couldn't they just be realistic and let them go?

because when you love somebody with your entire being, Its not that easy to just "let them go"...
people need closure for emotional reasons...

That is precisely why I try not to get too close to anyone.

I also miss out on great sadness and disappointment if I ever lose them. So if I do get really close to someone, it would be with someone who would probably outlive me.

sadness and disappointments are part of living. You risk that anytime you give part of yourself to someone. But closing yourself off to the possibility to have wonderful, deep feelings for someone, all because you don't want to risk being hurt...is that really worth it?
we only live once. you are bound to get hurt. Time will heal it.

Thanks, but just because sadness is natural, it doesn't mean I have to put myself in a position where I am more likely to be sad or unhappy.
