Alban Berg, pardon my spelling. I heard Villa-Lobos and I think I played a piece by him before. His music is lovely, if I did not remember it wrong.

I listen to a broad range of music, but some of the stuff people here would probably find wierd is
Godspeed you black emperor! (kind of like classical music with 2 drums) Grindcore (like new converge and pig destroyer) Fucking crazy ass music (The Locust, Daughters) Abstract hip hop (cLOUDDEAD, Noah 23, Buck 65) Some harsh jazz (coltraine) French hip hop (Passi, Assassin et IAM) French/european screamo (iscariote, newborn etc...) Negativland (noisish project) hmm yeah |

i go in for Godspeed like August does <they absolutely rock>, but my list is generally packed with classical, industrial, noise, drone, some shoegaze, and 80's stuff. I also listen to the Quake 2 music and sometimes when im working the atmospheric stuff from tomb raider.

I do have to confess a fondness for J-Rock and Visual Kei acts like Malice Mizer, Dir En Grey and Kana. I know it's wrong. But I just can't help myself.

glad to see someone else digs GSYBE!
you remind me that I also listen to some industrial (eintzers en neubauten) and noise which would also be considered odd. and also sludge, which is like slowed down drudging metal. |

Darkest of the Hillside Thickets (Cthulhu punk hooray!)
Various Middle Eastern and Irish percussion. A compilation CD of 50's and 60's burlesque music. Any CD with Betty Page on the front is a good thing, I figure. |

I forgot to mention that the only reason that I listen to the Rockabilly while I do genealogy is that it is my grandfather and his band. He was a really obscure rockabilly artist back in the 50s. As far as I know all he wrote/recorded were 2 songs.
