Fenton,

I can't find a way to verify it, but unless my eyes were playing tricks on me I did see them run a clip of chem suits when reporting the story. I can't find any web photos though. It's possible it was some sort of file footage or something I guess, but that was not the way it was presented. That's what I saw and that is about all it's worth. If I run across a link to some photos I'll post 'em.

I think a big point is being missed here: the "hospital" has:

1)a nerve agent antidote.

2)3000 chemical protective suits.

3)no patients whatsoever!!!! (And no Fenton Mulley, I didn't see a photo of the non-existent patients because they.....were non-existent).

A picture of at least one identifiable gas mask in the dirt on the road to Nasiriya, which certainly is not a cache of 3000 in a hospital in Nasiriya.

I've seen the clip of the mask in the foxhole many times. It's an older and different story than this shit about the 3000 masks and suits.

I was just over at my moms house and she had MSNBC on when a little news snippet scrolled by saying there were 6000 masks and suits found at the hospital.

So now we are up to 6000 masks and suits and still there are NO pictures.

Yes. I certainly was not attempting to suggest it was any more than that. Significant? Maybe. But not the same thing, no, of course not. I was just throwing it in as what I found whilst searching for the other photos----related, but not precisely what we're looking for, no.

Why can't we find any photos on the internet? A fair question.

I finally saw something in the hospital that MIGHT have been those suits and masks. The bio suits were mentioned again on CNN a few minutes ago and what they showed this time was a picture of an open steamer trunk that looked like it contained some type of camo colored clothing. I really couldn't tell what it was since it was folded up in the trunk,but it looked like it was made out of denim or burlap which is not exactly the kind of material that would protect someone from gasses or chemicals.

And even if it was those suits there would have to be hundreds of those trunks to hold all 3000 suits (or all 6000 if you go by what MSNBC said earlier today).

I still think something fishy is going on.

The gas mask found in the field is not any indicator of Iraqi possession of illegal weapons. Our soldiers go into battle with gas mask and other related protection does that mean we are about to start gassing people in Iraq?

Whose not to say they had the masks to protect themselves from us? They know we have more of it than anyone. Considering the fevered pitch Saddam is always trying to work them into it might be that they have those masks to remind them to fear US.

Just a guess.
