Isolated incidents may occur, but there will be no major, widesweeping persecution. It'd be national suicide.

I think you've got a very ugly minority left, but it's a minority nonetheless. Expect some incidents (and then wait to see how GWB reacts to them). But don't run for the bunkers yet. [ June 27, 2002: Message edited by: Arrowman ]</p> |

I hope Newdow files charges on the people who have left death threats for him. If the PD blows him off, he'll sue them for violating his civil rights.

You might wish to exam how many of the saught after terrorists are fundamentalist Sunni Muslims, not Shia's (Shiite). Sunnis are approximately 85% of the Islamic religion. Iran is one of the few Shiite nations and the one that probably has about a 30% silent secular population. That may account for why they and the Sunni Taliban were such mortal enemies. It most definitely explains why Iran helped the Afghan Northern Alliance. |

Don't be surprised if the religious kooks in Congress attempt to pass a law that only allows Christians to own weapons of self-defense...and the Supreme Court finds it to be Constitutional. Then the FBI will serve warrants on librarians to disclose who checked out books on Atheism/ Humanism right after Congress unanimously passes the "God's Will Act of 2002." I can hear the administration claiming, "We have to root out these anti-Americans who would undermine the moral fiber and patriotism of our God fearing nation. We are recommending a Special Prosecutor to look into an Atheist Conspriacy Against a Christian America. We know that Congress has already formed several investigating committees. God Bless y'all." |

At this point, nothing that President Shrub could do would surprise me.

I'm sure Mr.Nedow is getting quite enough calls from people like that. Does he have a public number. So we can call and let him know, That he does have a ton of support.
