Kip--

You're better off ignoring Amos and sticking to discussions with people like Bobzammel who not only speak English, but make sense with it. Amos has no understanding of why it is idiotic to say that we have egos, they must die, we must vacate it, etc... to him, it is a rational thought. You cannot argue with someone like that. Just pat him on the head and ignore him like more and more people are doing here each day.

Can someone please tell me which is correct and explain why?

I would say neither, because there is no heaven.

Asking whether we'll still be married in heaven on this board is akin to asking how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

I am not asking whether or not there is a heaven. Obviously there is no heaven except what we make on earth. I was asking what the author of this passage, who apparently did believe in Heaven, intended the meaning to be.

Simple Kip, if heaven is a place on earth why would you have to get married, or not get married to get there. Further, why would any previous husbands, or wives, have anything to do with this?

Heaven is when the conscious mind has been placed subservient to the subconscious mind and in that way all intuit knowldge has become conscious knowledge. From this follows that in heaven you will know who you really are, have perfect free will and are in charge of your own destiny.
