has anyone heard of this 'church' before? they called me last night and, apparently, this is what they stand for:

• they think the world is going to end by december 2003.
• we need 'bomb shelters, canned food, and bibles'
• everyone is welcome (all sexual orientations)
• abortion is ok (!)
• apparently they take the new testament VERY literally.
• the church was founded in 1981.
• i asked if how far this church's spread was, and she said there are congregations in many countries.
• drugs and alcohol are ok ("it's ok if you smoke a 'j' now and then!", is what she said to me exactly)

naturally my bullshit detector was going off the whole time, but i'm pretty sure this wasn't a practical joke. i do know that she's calling me back today (she kept saying how she was surprised i didn't hang up on her, and that our conversation was very 'stimulating'), because i wouldn't give her my address or something, i don't really remember for sure (I was a little drunk ) so anyway, i guess what i'm asking here is, is this 'church' as legit as a church can be? what are some other fun facts about them?
