I, too, hate shaving my face. Eventually, though, every few months, I'll feel oddly compelled to shave my beard.
I've also shaven my head occasionally. The first time I kept my head shaven, it was with a razor (that was a major pain in the ass!), but I have a decent Norelco (that I used the second time I decided to lop the hair off of my head), and that makes shaving one's head tolerable, if not still slightly annoying. Sincerely, Goliath (whose beard and hair style can usually be categorized as "I'm too damn lazy to shave.") |

![]() tip the second: putting cheap hair conditioner on hair to be shaved makes it softer and easier to mow. just slap it on damp skin, leave it on for a couple minutes, rinse it off, and go. this works good for boys and girls both, and seems to reduce razor damage. i still freaking HATE shaving my legs, though. ![]() |

If you're out of shaving cream hair conditioner or shampoo works in a pinch.
Shaving the face sucks. Besides razor burn and those stubborn patches of whiskers that face the wrong way, the skin of the face bleeds easily and copiously at even the tiniest cut. And it's your face, so you can't slap a bandage on it and cover it up. For me though it's the fact that it takes 2 or 3 minutes that could be better spent in my warm cozy bed listening to NPR on the clock radio. Shaving makes me late for work. |

I hate shaving my face, but I hate pomading my hair more. In fact, I shave every day, but on weekends, unless something special is happening, I leave the hair goop in the medicine cabinet.

Hmm. Reading through this thread, I wonder at the contortions some of y'all go through merely to be socially acceptable.
Me, I don't own a razor. My hair and beard haven't been trimmed in decades. All I do is brush the hair in the morning, then tie it back, and I'm all set for the day. Every now and then, I brush the left-over lunch and bugs out of the beard, and I'm socially acceptable. True, it's mostly at the biker bar and old, burned-out hippie get-togethers, but socially acceptable none the less. Life has enough hassles without adding yet more. ![]() doov |

If there is one universal truth, it's that there is no such thing as a good shave. My face is total crap every time. Personally, I wouldn't mind waxing the excuse-for-a-beard right off. At least it would be smooth.
I already got my left arm scraped in martial arts class by a guy who shaved his head the day before. Prickly like hell. I do live by one hair rule : Let it grow or make it go. Haircuts are for people too insecure who like to throw 15 bucks away every 3 weeks. 5 bucks for S/C for the hair you keep = 10$ saved. I don't mind bald people, but if they choose to be bald, that they go all the way, none of this shaving crap. They're a health risk when in contact with other people. o_O |

Actually, I do not use shaving cream at all: I simply shave in the shower. Water seems to make an extremely effective lubricant and does not clog up the razor as quickly as cream does. *chuckle*

I hate to brush my teeth. I do it, and even enjoy how nice my mouth feels afterwards, but I hate the actual activity.
I bought one of those hideously expensive Sonicare toothbrushes, and that helps a bit. |
