Yes, well, we shall see just how far the Church "transcends" human organizations - in particular the civil justice system - when the judgments start rolling in. heh heh heh. |

And Gemma, in transcending the limits of “of every human political, economic, or cultural institution," does the RC Church deliver universal justice? The rule of law? Clean water for people to drink? Enough food for them to eat? Respect for women, so that they aren’t treated like baby machines? Respect for children so that they are properly educated and not forced into labour?
Does this great institution of which you are so proud rid humankind of superstition and ignorance? Does it generate tolerance? Understanding? Wisdom? Are Roman Catholics reliably honest? Reliably kind? Reliably decent? Reliably generous in their judgments of others? What, Gemma, was the point of your post? |

"If one looks at the Catholic Church today, one will see plainly that no other human organization, even the United Nations, so transcends the limits of every human political, economic, or cultural institution."
If so, then the experimental primary sentient life project on this planet has produced an unacceptable anomaly. Project termination must be given consideration if this situation continues. |

And not one reply from the topic starter since.
It is nothing more than fundie attempts at witness-n-run. And yes, catholics can be fundies, as in lacking something fundamental : logic, and restraint. The Game of Go is older than any of the new Testament (.cn : Wei'qi, .kr : Ba'duk, .jp : Igo). I think that is more transcendental than the catholic church (the board size did change from 17x17 to 19x19 in time though) |
