Free To Be Me.

You've probably seen it before, but...ugh, fuck, I need a bath after reading that slimy mess.

If the link doesn't work, it's a site which says that gay people are cool, no, really, but some gay people, like, really want to change, and they really can (andgodwillhelpthem) and gay people turn gay because they were abused, or because their mother didn't love them, and they mostly have dreadful lives, but some of them are quite happy to be gay, and that's cool.

It's so underhand. Personally, I'd respect them more if they said "God hates homosexuality, get thee to a clinic!" I mean, they'd be bastards, but they wouldn't be lying, sneaky bastards.

Edited to say:they link to Narth! No site which can be trusted about anything links to Narth unless it's to say "Don't listen to these people".

<yes, an exceedingly short post, but what more is there to say? this particular grunt pretty much sums up the disgust/annoyance im feeling at this point.>

The thing is, these people don't have anything against homosexuality per se, but God; the creator of the universe, the all knowing ever present manisfestation, is extremely obsessed with your genitalia. If you do the motion wherein you take the thumb and fore finger of one hand and make a circle, then take the the finger from the other hand and repeatedly poke it in and out of the circle, you will understand why god feels that circles and circles/pointy finger and pointy finger must never meet. He created our genetalia with sin, so that we could overcome! It makes perfect sense. They don't hate gays or gay lifestyle. Its just that God's got this complex and they don't want to see you go to hell....I mean if they really hated gays they would just happily let them live their life knowing that they would live in eternal torment, never tainting their glorious heaven.

They try to come across as nice and loving, but a little meanness creeps in here and there. I think the last part of their "where to find help" is revealing. They say "if you are gay and you think that is okay, then eny search engine should help you find hundreds of sites that may be of interest to you". Translation: "If you don't want to change to hell with you". Notice how they don't really allow for the possibility that it could be ok to be gay, they treat that sort of idea as your delusion. Stealth bigotry.
