Hello Draygomb, I see a problem with your logic, science and assumptions. Logic would tell me that the Holy Book is written by mythmakers and is true only in our mythology simply because they wrote the myth and we are descendants of the mythmakers (if we are). Other mythologies are written by different mythmakers and are true for their descendants. In your science you seem to think that God created the universe which does not have any existence at all. I think the good book doesn't ever claim that God had something to do with what we call "the universe" or the existence of any planets including the planet we call earth. When the bible says that God created the "heavens and the earth" the concepts good and evil were created to be juxtaposed with each other. Your assumption that God created humans is also wrong because it clearly states that God created Man in his image. This now means that humans are not the same as man and that our humanity itself is a condition of being assumed by man. God does not have a purpose for us because God just is and is therefore referred to as "I AM" instead of "I want." It is only in our assumed human nature that we can have a purpose ("wants"). Humans as human beings do have a free will and are free agents as such. They should therefore be held accountable for their actions. The Free Will argument does not deny this but claims that as humans are not free because our humanity is a condition of being in which we are divided with our identity as man. This is made clear in the bible when "we do the things we do not really want to do" etc. God does not have a religion or there would be temples in the New Jerusalem. Amos |
