Was it not Rev. Graham and Nixon complaining on tape about the politico-economic activities of American Jews?

Philosoft,
It was indeed and although there was a minor media flurry, he (Graham) made a lame-ass non-apology (doesn't "recall" saying that but sorry blah blah blah...) and everybody seemed to forgive and forget because he is so obviously a MAN OF GAWD. *retch* An article about it here So on top of being a bigot, he's a liar... "I have no memory of the occasion"??? Give me a break. |

I recall that Billy Graham was asked to speak at a post-WTC service in the UK (Westminster Abbey?).
He made a somewhat similar comment to Falwell's infamous one: that maybe God had allowed the tragedy because he'd withdrawn his protection, because folks weren't religious enough anymore. Though, unlike Falwell, he didn't name specific groups of people. But that was enough for me. Graham is an asshole. |

He seems to have bred a new generation of assholes, as well....
Shortly after 9/11 Bryant Gumbel interviewed Billy Graham's daughter. From the transcript: Gumbel: "Why didn't God stop this horrible thing that happened in our country on Sept 11, or do something about this?" Anne Graham Lotz: "For years we have told God we didn't want Him in our schools, we didn't want Him in our government, and we didn't want Him in our finances, and God was being a perfect gentleman in doing just what we asked Him to do. We need to make up our minds -- do we want God or do we not want Him?! We cannot just ask Him in when disaster strikes." Not only ridiculously wrong on so many levels but truly sickening. |
