Now I am embarassed. Thanks Jason.

Thanks for all the suggestions for a user name. I went for something completely different.

Here's my introduction:

I'm in my 4th of five years of university, majoring in linguistics. I never believed in god. Both of my parents are atheists, though my dad was raised as a catholic. I'm minoring in religion because the department sucked me in with courses on Sanskrit and Hebrew. I'm currently shacked up with a lapsed Anglican.

I'm a ski instructor in the winter, and this summer I'll be helping a professor with his work on Middle English and German. I hope to graduate next spring, but I have no idea what to do after that. I would just disappear into central BC and ski, but I'm going to have a whopping student loan to pay down. I'd consider almost anything but a menial office job or retail. I went those routes already, and they drove me to drink. I'm applying for grad school, but I haven't a clue what I want to study. I used to compete in Irish dance, but I haven't been to practice since I ran out of money last June.

If there's anything else anyone wants to know about me, ask away. Before I relurk.

Tina

considering this has pretty much turned into a welcome thread and schki bum has access to the SL, I'm moving it back.

Hey there schki bum!!! Glad you've taken the de-lurking plunge... I know it took me *forever* to start posting but I have since become hopelessly addicted.

Woohoo! Tina's here. Nice to see you on the forum. I hope you enjoyed that 'Brick Testament' link I sent earlier. I'm sure people here can help out with nifty ideas for papers in your religion classes too. Hope you enjoy the ride. Take care.
