Maybe we could get together, buy a south pacific atoll, and petition for statehood? |

I started this in the Activism forum hoping, that if, such a place could be found or transformed then, it might bring out any "closet" atheists, get more atheists into politics, and generally make it harder for the religious to discount the secular viewpoint. Just a thought. |

Why not, I want snow! I've never seen one in real life and I'm very curious about it. Not too thrilled of the cold weaher that comes with it, though.

Portland, Oregon has an openly agnostic mayor, a non-religious Congressman, and one of the highest percentages of non-religious people of any major city.

Note on the Monument in Comfort, TX.
The original got dragged off into a field with the local police unwilling to help find out who did it. It was replaced by the local Freethought group. |

Of course, as far as I'm concerned, Pagan is still religious. I appreciate Pagans for bucking the mainstream and for usually being easier going when it comes to inflicting their morality on others. But I generally think they're just as whacko (or moreso) as other supernatural believers. Quote:
Well, since I've got family there, I'll second the nomination for atheists to move into Asheville and take over. Of course, if you work in the tech field like I do, you may need a career change to make the move. Especially with all the Pagans driving up the price of real estate. Jamie |
