Mad Kally: Amie is a stupid Christian.

DNAunion: That's the kind of manipulative stuff Principia is pulling on me in the other thread.
Take a break from the computer for a bit hon, take a shower, make some tea, have some whiskey. Its not worth it to get so upset on a message board.
misquoting is not cool at all...

Where are the mods?
DNAunion: I don't know, I posted about an hour ago that I needed a moderator to kill the other thread...no response.

Nobody's claiming there isn't anything for you to be upset about.

But going balistic is not going to aid your cause. Take it up with the moderators. Be civil.

Amie's actually quite intelligent, a trained traumanurse, highschool science teacher, holds several masterdegrees, and is a member of mensa.

There!

(edited to add: And one hell of a woman)

DNAunion: That's nice, but the only person who has actually been called stupid in this thread is me, by Mad Kally.

Amie,
Probably in terms of any (infintessimal) chance of
getting Principia to behave a PM to an administrator would be the best bet. HOWEVER there
is a certain instructive value to this thread....
and the two previous ones to which DNAunion refers: they starkly show the true colors of Principia here. He has started and/or participated lustily in the past (the not-so-distant past) in threads (ARN Peanut Gallery I&
II, "ID whining continues" etc. ad nauseam)wherein ARN was lambasted by him and he offered condescending "advice" on how such dialogue should
be conducted. Yet he himself is infamous for baiting people (both under the "Principia" name
and several others).

Moreover the attitude here (I mean this forum) goes beyond just one conniving interlocutor. Try
doing a search at the evo/creation forum using the
word "moron". Then try "idiot". Then "cretin".
These are the terms routinely bandied about by
members and moderators alike in referring to the
(intellectual) opposition (ie creationists and IDists)(Just tried my own search and got 70 threads on THIS forum with "moron" in the text, 110 with "idiot" in the text, 113 with "cretin" in the text. And that in the CURRENT evo/creation
queue-----NOT the archives).

So DNA's thread title DID lower the standards here
but.......alas not by very much.....

Cheers!

Amie is also a registered nurse.

DNAunion,
I should have just called this thread stupid instead of you..

edited to add: I just read the other thread, my apologies.

yeah I read through that other asinine thread as well, DNAunion you should have not been provoked however sometimes its best to not give a reaction when the other person so desperatly desires it...
Dont give him a reaction and soon he'll grow bored and go away...

The moderators, unbelievable as this may be, have lives outside this board, and are not omnipresent. I'm not sure what's going on here, but I've done a little housecleaning with this thread and what I assume is the other thread you are referring to, and I'm going to lock this one. I have no idea what is going on in E/C today, but it needs to stop. We may take some further action after the E/C mods, who have a better handle on what is going on than I do, have had a chance to review the events.

Edited to give this post the little warning icon, so as to indictae that I really mean it!
