I strongly recommend that you not follow that link if you do not wish to download what is quite likely illegal material.
Yep.

Here's a note on the site:

NOTE: Some people have asked why we allow the use of pictures that depict child nudity. This is an understandable question coming from a sexually repressed society. From a position representing freethinking we must respond with a question of our own; "Why not?"
It seems that the site is based on the premise, "if you're truly a freethinker, you'll agree that there's nothing wrong with underage sex".

Well...lots of people here wouldn't agree with that. If you want to discuss that the discussion belongs in MF&P, I think.

Either that or he's not the only one arguing that sex with children is just fine (and has benefits for the child, in fact )

(Unfortunately)

HelenM Now that you brought this up, I would be very interested in how you would answer the "Why not?" question. You seem to have very strong opinions on the subject and I was just wondering if they were exclusively emotional or included some logical basis. If this is an inappropriate forum, please send me an email.

Lunachick, I'm sorry but I know you are aware that the forum rules do not allow for statements of violence.

Please try and stay within acceptable guidelines.

Thank you.

To all thread participants...if you want to discuss the morality of child pornography or underage sexual activity, perhaps another thread should be started in MF&P so as not to derail this thread.

Now that I brought it up?

Did I link to your site? Did I set up a site pretending to be about freethinking when it's really about sex? Did you already forget who started this thread?

Oh, exclusively emotional, of course. I never let logic sway me

I do not wish to e-mail you to discuss sex or child nudity. You're welcome to read the following thread if you like:

Man-boy love

There are posts of mine in there in which you can find my views expressed and judge for yourself whether I used logic or not.

No thanks Helen. The way you answered or failed to answer my earlier question tells me all I need to know. What's more, I have a rule about discussing things with people who already have all the answers.

Just to set the record straight the website I am associated with deals with many subjects including sex, which seems to have attracted most of your attention.

Thumbs down

Well, regarding the actual topic, I'm with lunachick on this. The extract Pat Kelly posted seems to completely misunderstand what "freethought" is, prefering to redefine it as something like "thinking free of ethical or societal constraints."

This is completely wrong headed. A "freethinker" is someone who makes up his or her own mind about something, instead of relying on the "authoritative" judgement of the church. "Freethought" isn't about anything else other than intellectual freedom from religious authority. So as well as possibly being some tasteless justification for child-porn, the extract doesn't even address its stated topic properly.
