Evolution my friend ! Or something.

Some people have 0 wisdom teeth, some have 2, most have 4 and some, like me, have 6. Most people with 6 also have pointy canines for some reason.

It seems I'm just missing the usual stuff - hair (from my head) and tonsils. Never got any wisdom teeth to remove. Oddly, at age 34 I still have a primary/"baby" tooth hanging on.

LadyShea - ever thought of sending some repo men after your missing kidney?

LOL, haven't needed to yet, but I told the guy I would if he didn't take good care of it and use it to enjoy life more. So far he has kept his end of the bargain.

Tonsils and a little bit from the side of both big toenails (to stop repeated ingrowing.)

Adenoids, tonsils, wisdom teeth, three other teeth. (None show, thank goodness.)

I had my appendix removed last June. Missed a whole week of work that I was never able to make up. All four of my wisdom teeth were removed almost four years ago.

That's pretty much it.

What about having objects permanently inserted into your body?

I have a cochlear implant in my right ear, the surgery was rather unpleasant for me. Took weeks for my sense of balance to return fully. It was an experience I'm not too keen to repeat.

Aside from the foreskin removal (which as far as I know was simply done by default, rather than for religious reasons), I had my gall bladder removed last year. Had three stones in it, each nearly golf-ball sized. Painful. Yes. During my major attack, I sincerely yearned to muster the strength to raise myself off the floor & shuffle to the kitchen to carve out the pain. I had to repeatedly convince myself that actually, this would not be a Good Idea.

Kept those teeth & tonsils, though!
