The supreme court is to review California Supreme Court's 4-3 decision to go ahead with the trial. Following California's decision, Nike brought the case to the U.S. Supreme Court whether to throw the case out.
Bush is saying the ruling in favor of Kasky is a violation of companies' free speech rights. ACLU and organized labor are also complaining about Kasky's suit. Here's what Bush's top Supreme Court lawyer said recently. Quote:
But it seems bizarre to me that so many entities are opposing an effort to keep corporations subordinate to democracy, and taking power away from the people of this country. Bush seems awfully sure of his Supreme Court's verdict, or else he wouldn't have said anything for risk of losing face. Any thoughts? |
