What ever happened to the phrase from the US Constitution that states that, "No religious test" shall be required to hold public office?

The Texas constitution also allows people to be barred from public office if they do not "acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being".
The Tennessee law violates both the original constitution ("no religious test shall ever be required") and the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Those two clauses apply to the states through the Fourteenth Amendment. |

I was really surprised to see no green or red text in the Virginia laws.
Even more surprised to see so much green and red in Massachusetts! |
