So how do you explain this magical tronic energy transfer?

Now Corwin, is there any evidence for you theory? Does anyone use your explanation for why the Earth's core is hot? Has anyone ever detected gravitational heating?

So, your point is that no one should take you seriously? It's not exactly mature to troll like this.

No... my point is that you're asking for an explanation of two points. One of which is so basic that it shouldn't require explanation, the other of which is so arcane that nobody has a definitive answer on the subject.

Okay, just to be clear, you think those points are...

*sighs, grits his teeth, and really wants a good stiff drink*
Ok.... Gravity transfers energy. There's nothing magical or supernatrual about this, we simply don't understand exactly HOW it does this yet. The fact that it does, however, is well established. (Or do you have some other magical way for two planetary or stellar bodies to exert enough force on each other for a stable orbit?) Exactly HOW this happens will most likely be explained in a theory of quantum gravitation. We don't have this yet. So I can't GIVE you an explanation for it yet. |

The freakin' electrons wasted on this thread are gonna start heating up the Earth's core pretty soon........
work = force x distance , i.e. your force has got to move something before it's work. And work is the stuff that's equivalent to heat. |
