Why is this one of the untouched buildings guarded by marines when hospitals are being looted

How is the country supposed to rebuild if the oil infrastructure is constantly being attacked. More soldiers are needed and aid agencies need to get their arses into gear and start moving aid in.

Default oil mystery

The ministry of oil building was the only ministry left intact after the bombing. While the kinda hospital was looted of vital medicine for the injured, marines stood by and did nothing. Meanwhile at the same time marines and armoured vehicles were making sure nobody got near the ministry building.kind of makes you sick doen't it.

There were a lot of buildings that were left intact after the bombing, unfortunately they were subsequently looted and burnt. It does seem a very stupid list of priorities, to not protect the hospitals. The Aid companies were supposed to be in Iraq by now, unfortunately they decided to voice their displeasure in the war, by making it hard for themselves to start the aid deliveries. The whole thing is just messed up.

Crap.

Many of the aid agencies are understandably reluctant to go whilst there's still such unrest. Others that have tried have been refused access by the military for precisely the same reason. The military don't have the manpower to escort and protect the aid convoys so deny them access.

Agencies such as the Red Cross and Mdecins Sans Frontires who have had people there all along have had to suspend operations due to the current disorder.

The problem is not a fit of pique by the NGOs.

The Red Cross has just pulled most of its volunteers out of Afghanistan due to continued attacks on personnel by the Taliban. Go figure.

Seeing as the US invasion of Irak was also to obtain as much revenge both symbolic and bloody as possible, the more civilian deaths the better, the more looting the better, the more destruction of these 'Infidels' past such as the Museum and the Library the better. Shock, awe, terror, revenge.
