Post Senate Tax Bill Blows Open $100,000 Loophole for Largest SUV Gas Guzzlers

Quote:
The controversial tax loophole for buyers of the largest, least efficient SUVs would be quadrupled to $100,000 per vehicle under tax legislation passed by the U.S. Senate last night, effectively subsidizing the full purchase price for 38 of the largest and most costly SUV models on the American road, including the Hummer, the Range Rover and the Cadillac Escalade.

At the very same time, lawmakers at work on the new energy bill are threatening to eliminate a successful $2,000 tax deduction for fuel-efficient gas-electric hybrid vehicles.
Wow. Talk about priorities.

But, but, but... Hummers and Range Rovers and Ford Expeditions supply jobs in both the auto industry AND the oil industry. And the insurance industry (rollovers), the vulcanized rubber industry (recalls), the healthcare industry (crushing the pitiful drivers of pansy-ass econo-cars)...

Who cares about gas guzzlers? We've got Iraq, whose oil reserves ought to last us at least 6 months if we're careful.

[rant]What the hell!?! I mean, $2000 deduction? What the hell good is that anyway? I made about $38000 the year I got the car. When all was said and done, if I were to take the deduction, I get a huge whomping $270 back. What the hell good is that? This deduction crap is only good for people who make more money.

It really pisses me off. I'm making a difference and these SUV fagots are getting more back than I can. These small penis, got no vision for real life or experience, I'm a Christian and have to own the biggest fuckin' car. Then they say its safer, yeah at my expense! What a bunch of hypocrits!

There are people that actually use SUV's for the actual purpose they are made for. To them, hey, its part of their lifestyle. They need it. To the others, its merely a penis enlargement and its driven by fuckers who don't know how to drive well enough in the first place and get into accidents and flip the damn things over.

You want an SUV? Watch out for this irate Insight owner with knives aiming for your tires.[/rant]

You know, I still don't feel any better about it. I hat ethese damn machines! When they pass the new Federal gas tax to cover these transporation projects, we'll see who laughs when driving pass the gas stations.

I just hate the pro-SUV propaganda thats spoon fed to everyone. How many Insights or Priuses had accidents involving death verses SUVs? There are so many lies in the pro-SUV lobby, its worse than the gun issue.
