Incidentally, my background is almost entirely in the NT. I never had much interest in Early Judaism to the same extent that I am fascinated by the Xian text legacy. I read Finkelstein's book which seemed to me a popularization. Can you recommend a couple good books on Hebrew theology and the textual development of the OT?
